The Łężczok Reserve

Within the Landscape Park there is a unique, forest-pond nature reserve "ŁĘŻCZOK". A modest little path leads up to it, resulting in an extraordinary world of plants and animals. As early as 1922 "Łężczok" was entered in the register of monuments of nature and in January 1957 it officially became a nature reserve. An interesting history event connected with this spot is the visit of John III Sobieski, who on his way to Vienna passed between Łężczok ponds. The Polish Hussars’ Route runs through "Łężczok" nowadays to commemorate this event.
