The water system

The Ruda River crosses the park, creating an extension of the compositional axis and supplying the water system which consists of three ponds:
  1. Directly north of the palace there is a kidney-shaped pond, called Park Pond bordered with a dam, upon which runs the Klodwiga Alley, lined with a row of oaks.
  2. The pond located to the east used to be the Swiss Pond, which originally had an irregular shape with a large island in the middle, and now is overgrown.
  3. The third, an oval pond located to the southeast of the palace, is now called Peicker’s Pond.
